The Changelog v25.12.15
This is the first post in a series I intend to keep up with, I've titled "The Changelog". The goal of this series is to provide informal updates to what I'm working on with my personal projects day to day and the things I'm learning.
Homelab Updates
Lots has changed since my first write up. I'm now using 4 different servers for all my homelab purposes, 2 running at home and 2 VPSs. Networking with Tailscale ACLs, firewalls, and Pangolin has been an interesting challenge. I always approach my security a little overboard for what my opsec would imply, but it leads to learning opportunities. I'm planning to write a more in-depth update to what's going on with my homelab at some point.
Forgejo
This is a project I intend to start. I want to get my hands dirty with some DevOps stuff, and what better than to launch a service using all said tools. The plan is to run Forgejo using Kubernetes locally to get the hang of things, then deploy to AWS. I'm very early in the process at the moment. The first step is to do some more in depth research about Kubernetes. I'm familiar with the basics, but not enough to really get started. I'm really excited for this project.
